May 2009

Summer is coming and the real estate market is heating up. Now is the time to buy due to affordability and selection, and the market is starting to show it.

The tourist season has ended in Punta Gorda, the restaurants and streets are not crowded, the pace starts slowing for the hot muggy times ahead.

Real Estate values and prices appear to be stabilizing, indicating near to the bottom, if not at the bottom of the downturn. Upward pricing pressure appears to be affecting the saltwater properties already. tis the price we pay for paradise.

Time to get ready for hurricane season, with preparation and three days notice, we are ready to dodge the storms this year. Our trusty motor coach is gassed and ready to ride the back roads, if a storm comes our way.

Weather has been beautiful, although a little dry. Rainy season will start soon. Bait all over the harbor, creating some excellent fishing. Come join us.
